Embracing Singlehood: Why I Choose Happiness, Independence, and Self-Respect

Embracing Singlehood: Why I Choose Happiness, Independence, and Self-Respect Recently, I found myself in a rather interesting conversation with a few individuals who seemed to question my life choices. They asked if I'd ever done something embarrassing, insinuating that perhaps I hadn't lived enough to understand certain experiences. Well, let me set the record straight: yes, I've had my fair share of embarrassing moments, but never anything as reckless or repulsive as some of the scenarios they brought up. Let's address the elephant in the room. No, I've never gone to bed with a stranger on the first date, nor have I ever stooped so low as to pick up human feces. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe in exercising better judgment than that. It's called common sense, folks, and it's a valuable tool for avoiding situations that would make you the subject of ridicule or scorn. You might wonder why I'm so passionate about this topic. Well, let me tell you.

What Homeschooling Really Is

What Homeschooling Really Is Step into the world of homeschooling, where education meets empowerment and every child's unique journey is celebrated. Let's debunk the myths and misconceptions surrounding this dynamic educational choice. First things first: homeschooling is not synonymous with dropping out. It's a deliberate choice made by parents who are passionate about tailoring their child's education to fit their individual needs and aspirations. Whether following a purchased curriculum or crafting a personalized learning plan, homeschooling offers flexibility and customization like no other. Think of homeschooling like breastfeeding—a deeply personal decision that deserves respect and understanding. Just as no two children are alike, no two homeschooling journeys are identical. It's about honoring the diversity of educational paths and empowering parents to choose what's best for their families. But here's the real kicker: homeschooled children often ou

The Prince Be ((sample))

A little sample of the novel I'm working on. Enjoy!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Prince Be ((sample)) In a time far removed from ours and nearly forgotten by modern man this story takes place. It seems since the beginning of the Early Modern era – the 1400s – everyone has come up with a story of “King Arthur’s court.” Well this, my friend is the first part of what happened. Why just part you ask? Because mi-lord asked for a simple tale to close this evening’s festivities; if the court is pleased with this story this simple bard would be honored to continue this saga when mi-lord and milady sees fit to call for it. Let your mind recall the days of old when the Roman Empire was in shambles and the eastern barbarians’ attacks where ever so frequent. Remember when Briton’s eastern and southern coasts had been badly pillaged and the barbarians had for the last many years started establishing settlements in these areas. Remember….. The Barbarians a

Embracing Independence: Why I've Decided to Stop Dating

Embracing Independence: Why I've Decided to Stop Dating In a world where dating apps and blind dates dominate the scene, I've made a bold decision: I've stopped dating altogether. And let me tell you, it's been the most liberating choice I've ever made. Gone are the days of stressing over what to wear, where to meet, and whether or not there will be a spark. Instead, I've embraced my independence and reclaimed control over my life. One of the key reasons behind my decision? Safety. Call me cautious, but I refuse to let anyone into my personal space. That means no inviting dates to my home or sharing my address. I've always been a "meet you there" kind of person, and I intend to keep it that way. Maintaining boundaries is crucial in today's world, especially when it comes to dating. By keeping my home and workplace off-limits to romantic interests, I ensure that my safety and security remain uncompromised. Let's talk about transportation. S

The Modern Entitled Brat Vet

The Modern Entitled Brat Vet I have no doubt I will get angry comments for this one but you should know by now: I DON'T CARE! I have the same Constitutional God given right to free speech as you do. So before you start just go ahead and stop your bitching. I'm from a very patriotic family full of veterans going at least as far back as the 1600s. My grandpa was a WWII vet, my dad and my uncle are Vietnam vets, my other grandpa was a post Korean war service man, the above mentioned uncle was a “lifer” in the service, another uncle was a “lifer” in his branch as well. Add in a bunch of great uncles, various degree of cousins and cousin-in-laws to the list of service members that I'm kin to and you can gather that I grew up immersed in the culture and have a great love and respect for veterans. Honestly I'm finding it hard to have much respect for a lot of the veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars of the past sixteen years. These vets have it better than any o
