Psalm 116 devotional

The author of Psalm 116 is thankful to God for salvation and answered prayers. The author acknowledges they are a better person thanks to God’s intervention into their life and the gift of grace. In Psalm 116 the author speaks of how God answered their prayers even in their darkest hours which should be inspirational for us in these times of plague, war, economic hardship, and internal strife. In the last two years we have faced unimaginable stress, hardship, and loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and national political and economic turmoil. While it’s human nature to stress and worry these times this psalm reminds us if we give our difficulties, worries, etc over to God it will be handled.
